Boxing Results – Baumgardner Vs. Linardatou 2

In the recent round of boxing results, Alycia Baumgardner, the reigning queen of the super featherweight division (13-1, 7 KOs), successfully defended her quartet of 130-lb titles, securing a broad 10-round unanimous decision against Christina Linardatou (14-3, 6 KOs) in their rematch at Detroit’s Masonic Temple. The boxing results from the match scorecards read 99-91, 98-92, and 98-92. Baumgardner, 29, showed signs of fatigue after the fifth round, but she still outshone Linardatou, who, despite being six years her senior, showed better stamina. The judges’ scoring raised eyebrows, but they got the winner right. The bout was, without a doubt, closer than the wide point gap suggested.

Under Card Results

Elvis Rodriguez Vs Viktor Postol

The audience witnessed an intriguing boxing result of the matchup between Elvis Rodriguez (15-1-1, 13 KOs), an emerging light welterweight contender, and Viktor Postol (31-5, 12 KOs), a former WBC 140-lb champion. Rodriguez brought Postol’s momentum to a halt in the seventh round, dealing a swift flurry of blows that led to the referee, Celestino Ruiz, stopping the match at the 23-second mark of the seventh round. Rodriguez had earlier sent Postol to the canvas with a right hook in the final moments of the sixth round. Before this, Postol had presented a formidable challenge through the first five rounds, only to crumble in the sixth.

Andy Cruz Vs Juan Carlos Burgos

The highlighted lightweight debutant Andy Cruz (1-0), pulled off an impressive ten-round unanimous decision victory over former three-time world title challenger Juan Carlos Burgos (35-8-3, 21 KOs) giving no surprise in the boxing results quota of the day. The match scores were 100-90, 100-90, and 98-92. Derek ‘Boza’ Ennis, Cruz’s coach and the father of welterweight hopeful Jaron ‘Boots’ Ennis, advised the 2020 Olympic gold medalist to concentrate his punches after the eighth round in an attempt to knockout the 35-year-old Burgos. Despite his coach’s guidance, Cruz, who lacks significant knockout power, couldn’t finish off the veteran.

Jermaine Franklin Vs Isaac Munoz

In the heavyweight division, hopeful Jermaine Franklin (22-2, 14 KOs) scored a dominant ten-round unanimous decision over the previously unbeaten Isaac Munoz (17-1-1, 14 KOs). Despite running low on energy after the fifth round, Franklin, 29, landed several body shots on Munoz and controlled most of the exchanges. Munoz appeared to be in survival mode towards the end, displaying signs of fatigue. Franklin’s uppercut and a solid shot to the backside in the third round caught Munoz off guard. The judges’ scores were 100-90, 100-90, and 99-91. Franklin’s victory put an end to his two-match losing streak.

Ja’Rico O’Quinn Vs Carlos Mujica

As per the boxing results, super flyweight up-and-comer Ja’Rico O’Quinn (16-1-1, 8 KOs) managed to clinch a hard-fought ten-round unanimous decision against a sturdy Carlos Mujica (8-3, 2 KOs). O’Quinn, 28, spent the majority of the fight on the ropes, mixing his punches with frequent clinching. Although not the neatest fight, his tactics worked to his advantage. The judges scored the fight 100-90, 97-93, and 96-94. Boxing News 24 had it 96-94 in favor of O’Quinn, who was rocked in the closing moments of the tenth round.

Jermarco Holloway Vs Angelo Snow’s

The middleweight bout saw contender Jermarco Holloway (6-0, 3 KO) stop Angelo Snow’s (9-5, 6 KOs) progress in the fourth round of a six-round scheduled contest. Undefeated featherweight hopeful Cameran Pankey (8-0, 4 KOs) outperformed Miseal Reyes (4-5, 1 KOs) in a six-round unanimous decision during the evening’s opening bout. The judges scored the fight 60-54, 60-54, and 58-56.
