Vincent “Asero” Astrolabio, born on April 1, 1997, in General Santos City, Cotabato del Sur, Philippines, is a notable Filipino professional boxer who has achieved significant feats in his career. He previously held the WBO Inter-continental championship and also had the honor of challenging for the WBO World title. As of June 15, 2023, he holds impressive rankings, being placed second by the WBO, fifth by the WBC, and sixth by both BoxRec and the Transnational Boxing Rankings Board.

Professional Journey Super Flyweight Debut Vincent Astrolabio initiated his professional journey on August 14, 2015, facing Argie Emendo at SM City Annex in Davao City, Philippines. Astrolabio displayed his skills by knocking down Emendo in the 1st round of their match.

WBO Asia Pacific Youth Super Flyweight Title Match On December 15, 2018, Astrolabio contended for the vacant WBO Asia Pacific Youth Super Flyweight title against ZhongLi He in Yubei, China. Despite putting up a spirited effort, Astrolabio suffered a Majority Decision loss, with scores of 95-95 and 94-96 (twice) in favor of ZhongLi He.

Transition to Bantamweight Astrolabio, after accumulating eight consecutive victories, ventured into the bantamweight division. On July 24, 2017, he engaged in a bout against Joe Tejones (8–3–0) for the vacant Philippines Mindanao Professional Boxing Federation (MinProBa) Bantamweight title. After a full 10-round contest, Astrolabio emerged victorious through a Unanimous Decision, securing the MinProBa Bantamweight title with scorecards of 96-93 and 98-91 (twice).

WBO Oriental Bantamweight Title Match Following his bout with ZhongLi He, Astrolabio moved up to the bantamweight category to face undefeated Patrick Liukhoto of Indonesia for the vacant WBO Oriental Bantamweight title in Jakarta, Indonesia. Astrolabio showcased his prowess, claiming victory via TKO within 90 rounds and becoming the new WBO Oriental Bantamweight champion.

WBC International Bantamweight Title Match and Astrolabio vs. Rigondeaux Astrolabio’s skill and determination earned him a chance to face Rigondeaux for the WBC International Bantamweight title in Dubai. Astrolabio demonstrated his dominance in the ring, even dropping Rigondeaux in the 8th round, leading to his victory and acquisition of the title.

WBO Inter-Continental Title Match Following his triumph over Rigondeaux, Astrolabio seized the opportunity to contest the vacant WBO Inter-Continental Bantamweight title against Russian fighter Nikolai Potapov. This marked Astrolabio’s debut fight in the United States. With two knockdowns in rounds 1 and 5, Astrolabio ultimately secured a knockout victory in the sixth round, earning the WBO Inter-Continental Bantamweight title.

WBO World Title Match and Astrolabio vs. Moloney Due to Naoya Inoue’s decision to vacate his bantamweight titles, Astrolabio faced Jason Moloney for the vacant WBO bantamweight title. Although Astrolabio displayed skill and determination, he lost by majority decision in a closely contested match.
