About

James “Jazza” Dickens was born on 16 November 1990 in Liverpool, England. He had a successful amateur career before turning professional, winning various national titles. Dickens turned professional in 2011. He won the English super-bantamweight title in 2012, the British super-bantamweight title twice (2015-2016 and 2018), and the IBF European super-bantamweight title (2018-2019).

One of Dickens’ most notable fights was against Kid Galahad in 2013 for the British super-bantamweight title, which he lost. He also fought Guillermo Rigondeaux, a two-time Olympic gold medalist and one of the best pound-for-pound fighters in the world, in 2016. The fight was stopped in the second round due to a jaw injury suffered by Dickens.

Dickens is a southpaw, leading with his right hand and foot. This style can be challenging for orthodox fighters to counter. He’s known for his aggressive style and technical skills.

Dickens is known for his dedication to training and his discipline. He often shares insights into his training regimen and philosophy on his social media accounts.
