About

Daniel Dubois is a British professional boxer who has made a name for himself in the heavyweight division.

Daniel Dubois is one of the most promising heavyweight boxers in the world today. He has a record of 19 wins, 1 loss and 0 draws, with 18 wins by knockout. He is the current WBA (Regular) heavyweight champion, having defeated Kevin Lerena on December 3, 2022. He has also held multiple regional titles, including the British and Commonwealth titles from 2019 to 2020.

Born on September 6, 1997, in Greenwich, London, England, Dubois displayed an early affinity for boxing, encouraged by his father who was a boxing enthusiast. Dubois comes from a boxing-oriented family, with his sister Caroline Dubois being a decorated amateur boxer.

Dubois’ amateur career was noteworthy, winning the England Boxing National Youth Championships in 2014 and a silver medal at the Youth World Championships in 2015, all while training at the Repton Amateur Boxing Club. He finished his amateur career with an impressive record, and it was clear that he was destined for success in the professional realm.

He turned professional in 2017, signing with promoter Frank Warren, a significant figure in British professional boxing. His professional debut was a memorable one; he claimed victory with a knockout in the first half of the first round. His power, precision, and discipline quickly established him as a promising prospect in the heavyweight division.

Continuing his rise through the ranks, Dubois defeated several notable boxers, amassing a string of victories that included numerous knockouts. His notable win against Nathan Gorman in 2019 for the vacant British heavyweight title further solidified his reputation.

However, his undefeated streak was halted in 2020 when he faced Joe Joyce for the British, Commonwealth, and vacant European heavyweight titles. Despite a competitive match, Dubois lost after suffering a severe eye injury, marking his first professional defeat.

Resilient and determined, Dubois bounced back from the loss with a victory over Bogdan Dinu in 2021, winning the WBA interim heavyweight title. Known for his raw power and his ability to end matches with quick knockouts, Dubois has remained a prominent figure in the heavyweight boxing scene.

Soon after his win, he continued the winning streak and defeated Joe Cusumano via first round TKO on August 29, 2021. On Jun 11, 2022 he won the WBA (Regular) heavyweight title by Knocking out Trevor Bryan in the fourth round of the match.
