Jerwin Juntilla Ancajas, born on January 1, 1992, is a Filipino professional boxer renowned for his career in the IBF junior-bantamweight division. Hailing from Panabo, a suburb of Davao City, Philippines, Jerwin was introduced to boxing by his brother Jesar during second grade. His prowess in the sport quickly became evident as he secured various national championships, including a gold medal at the Palarong Pambansa. He transitioned to the professional circuit at the age of 17 in 2009, with an impressive amateur record of 90 wins and 5 losses.

In his professional journey, Ancajas achieved significant milestones. His debut major title was the WBO Asia Pacific Youth junior-bantamweight title, which he won against Rex Tito in an event held at SM City Lipa. Despite a loss in his fifteenth pro bout, he showed resilience and determination.

Ancajas gained prominence when he secured the IBF junior bantamweight championship by defeating McJoe Arroyo on September 3, 2016. This victory marked the culmination of an 11-fight win streak. In February 2018, Ancajas made his U.S. debut under Top Rank, defending his IBF belt against Israel González in Corpus Christi, Texas. He continued to impress, securing victories against formidable opponents like Jonas Sultan, Alejandro Santiago Barrios, and Ryuichi Funai.

On December 7, 2019, Ancajas once again demonstrated his prowess with a successful title defense against Miguel Gonzalez, winning via a sixth-round TKO. His accomplishments continued in April 2021 when he defended his IBF title for the ninth time against Jonathan Javier Rodriguez, winning by unanimous decision.
