With a stellar 12-1, 10 KO record, Savannah Marshall, aka “The Silent Assassin,” is preparing for a crucial matchup with Franchón “FCD” Crews-Dezurn, the current undisputed super-middleweight champion. This titanic match, which is set to be the co-main attraction of the event, is widely anticipated by fans.

Marshall, a boxer from Hartlepool, is no stranger to the spotlight. Following an incredible main event at London’s O2 Arena in which she squared off against Claressa “GWOAT” Shields in October, she dominated headlines. Despite the setback, Marshall’s spirit has not been damaged.

She is currently getting ready for another exciting fight, this time against American Crews-Dezurn, who is willing to risk all of her super-middleweight belts in Manchester. Marshall will definitely refer to her 2011 amateur match triumph over Crews-Dezurn, which she used as motivation.

Crews-Dezurn, her opponent, has an 8-1, 2 KO record and has shown to be unstoppable throughout her career. She won the WBO world super-middleweight championship for the second time in March 2020. In June 2020, she successfully defended her WBC crown. With the WBA and IBF belts under her belt in April 2022, she completed her championship set and established herself as the undisputed super-middleweight champion.

It’s interesting to note that the bout between Liam Smith and Chris Eubank Jr. was originally scheduled to include Marshall and Crews-Dezurn on the undercard. But an unexpected twist of luck, the cancellation of that match has elevated this contest to the main event. The battle, which is scheduled to take place on Saturday, July 1, will now have even higher stakes and more drama.

As the event gets underway at 7 p.m. and moves towards the main event ringwalks for Marshall vs. Crews-Dezurn at 10 p.m., the excitement is expected to reach a fever pitch.

TalkSPORT will start the at 8pm ET broadcast all of the live action from Manchester’s AO Arena. Adam Catterall and Spencer Oliver’s respectable voices, together with John Rawling and Gareth A Davies, will guide viewers through every jab and uppercut.

The winner of this upcoming contest may be able to obtain a much awaited rematch with Shields soon. The anticipation for Crews-Dezurn vs. Marshall grows as the clock approaches what is sure to be an exciting matchup.
